Hospital HelpTime Warner Telecom successfully installed metro Ethernet based Switched Native LAN (SNLAN) services at two Providence Hospitals in Columbia, S.C. The solution provides connectivity between the Hospitals' downtown and northeast locations. "We chose Time Warner Telecom because of their strong institutional and service reputation," said Mark J. Dowell, director of telecommunications for Providence Hospitals. "They could provide and guarantee the service within our technical specifications and pricing. The 1 Gbps capacity meets our data movement needs and supports crucial backups in the event of a system failure at either campus." The service enables synchronous mirroring of medical, enterprise and billing data at both locations in support of data protection and disaster recovery initiatives. To learn more, click here to read the complete press release. |
